Releasing the website?
When should I "release" my website? By release I mean replace my old Wordpress portfolio on eebs.fi with this site. (EDIT: you are probably reading this after release on eebs.fi) I have been questioning why I'm stalling the release so much. The website is definitely still in development, but I think that should be fine, because there's not much traffic on my site anyway, so not many would even notice. Still, I feel like everything needs to be perfect and polished.
How to release my website?
- Move my old site to the domain old.eebs.fi
- Setup prod GCP project
- Build and deploy to Cloud Run on the new site
- Setup domain stuff for the prod site
- Copy posts' data to new deployment
- Ask Google Search to reindex the domain
Realistically, this project will never be ready, only abandoned, like how Leonardo Da Vinci said about art. I have begun to realize how much there is to do. There are so many features and improvements I could do, but I can't do all of them. Especially when trying make everything myself / avoiding premade stuff.
Art is never finished, only abandoned.

Stuff to do
- Load speed optimization
- Better error handling everywhere
- LOTS of visual improvements
- Better front page text
- Cool page transitions
- SEO optimization
- Link preview
- Sessions
- Custom made analytics
- Post views/stats
- Pagination
It's hard to resist adding cool features instead of fixing real bugs and improving the UX. I can't wait to do session and statistics. First, I'll make some more content - that is one of my top priorities as of right now.
